Welcome to
Stokesley Sixth Form

The whole school motto ἀρετή “being the best we can be” is exemplified in the Sixth Form experience.

Our students are part of a welcoming and very successful academic community that prides itself on effectively preparing students for the next stages of their lives. The vast majority of these students progress to competitive university courses, many to Russell Groups universities and Stokesley Sixth Form is one of the two highest state schools for the % of students gaining places to study at Oxbridge colleges. Indeed, in recent years we have continued to strengthen our links with both Oxford and Cambridge.

Stokesley School celebrates Excellent Pass Rate at A level and continued Oxbridge success

Students and staff are delighted with another year of stunning A. level success at Stokesley School. A. level success was marked by a 99% pass rate in all A. level subjects with fourteen students achieving A*/A grades in all of their subjects. 36% of all grades were A* or A which is 10% above the national average. Over 31% of all students achieved AAB grades in at least two facilitating subjects, the subjects preferred by the country’s most prestigious universities.

Stokesley’s proud tradition of Oxbridge success continues.  Two students who were holding Oxbridge offers are looking forward to taking up their places: Reuben Acheson is destined to study Economics and Lewis Cornwall will study Mathematics both at colleges at Cambridge University.

Once again this year a very high proportion, considerably in excess of the national average, of Stokesley students will also go on to study at Russell Group universities. Stokesley students will become undergraduates throughout the length and breadth of the land from the University of Edinburgh in the north to the University of Bristol in the south west studying a great diversity of courses from Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Engineering to English, History, and Economics.
