Whilst statistics can always be manipulated, you can’t argue with the facts!
The performance tables published today highlight the exceptionally strong performance of our students, including –
The percentage of A Level students achieving at least 3 grades AAB or better, at least two of which are in facilitating subjects (38%) places us as the highest performing comprehensive school in the North East and Yorkshire and Humberside – and in the top 10 of all comprehensive schools with a sixth form in the country – well within the top 1%!
With an average point score in their best 3 A levels (39.8 – average Grade B) our students’ results place us in the top three in the whole of the North East and North Yorkshire!
The “Added Value” measure places us in the top 5% nationally!
Where else would anybody want to study for their A Levels?
At GCSE the key measure of students’ grades in their 8 best GCSEs places us in the top 8% nationally, whilst the English Baccalaureate (the rigorous academic subject measure) places Stokesley School in the top 4% of schools nationally!
It’s not surprising that so many of our own staff choose Stokesley School for their own children, rather than their local schools!
Applicants to join our sixth form from other schools are still welcome but some courses are filling up fast, so please contact the school as soon as possible if you would like to join us in September.
